The Agent Alliance, a buying consortium of telecom agencies, has added two new member companies — Cloud Taskforce, a nationwide cloud services broker, and Fostar Telecommunications, a Minnesota-based telecom agency — bringing its ranks to 18 member companies.
These two companies are the first of more than a dozen new members the Agent Alliance plans to bring on in the next 12 months as it realigns on key business opportunities, including cloud services.
“We’ve spent significant effort in analyzing current market dynamics, major players and upmarket trends during recent strategy sessions,” said Agent Alliance CEO Bill Power. “We are poised to take advantage of some recent shifts and position ourselves accordingly. Adding new muscle to our membership is one tactic in driving our organization toward a profitable, productive future. We welcome both of these new member companies and look forward to their contributions.”
Marcus Lincoln, managing director with Cloud Taskforce said its one source approach to cloud services adoption will “assist the Alliance in building out its cloud strategy, offerings, and service provider portfolio.”
In addition, Cloud Taskforce, also will help the Agent Alliance achieve results with the cloud providers with which it already has contracts.
Jon Fostar, founder and president of Fostar Telecommunications, said joining the alliance offers his company a professional brotherhood. “The Agent Alliance gives my agency the strong foundation and industry expertise we need to flourish in the coming years,” Fostar said.
Founded in 1992, the Agent Alliance is a corporation owned by its member agencies, which represent more than $500 million in billings under management. Agent Alliance members offer voice and data telecommunications services, conference calling, Internet, web hosting, broadband applications, VoIP, cloud and more.
