TelePacific Communications has hired Mark Harris as director of its Telepartner program in Southern California.
Harris is responsible for the company’s channel sales effort in that region and reports to Ken Bisnoff, senior vice president of strategic opportunities and channel chief. Harris joins TelePacific from XO Communications, where he served as a general manager overseeing channel and direct sales in Southern California.
Mark came highly referred by many of our channel partners,” Bisnoff said. He was our hands-down choice because of that, his understanding of the requirements of channel management, his overall sales management experience, a get-it-done and lead-by-example attitude, and his knowledge of up-market telecommunications solution selling.”
Prior to XO, Harris was recruited by Cogent to re-energize the Southern California region and sell large IP and data services throughout North America and Europe. Before that, he spent eight years at Qwest Communications where he drove up-market enterprise sales and managed $36 million in revenue.
Harris works out of Telepacific’s corporate headquarters in downtown Los Angeles but will travel frequently throughout Southern California to visit channel partners.
“We have an enormous opportunity in front of us to advance brand awareness and move up-market, and Im looking forward to working with our channel partners to realize that potential,” Harris said.
