EarthLink Inc. has opened a new data center and sales office in Dallas.
The IT and managed services provider said on Tuesday it soon will open data centers in Chicago, Miami and San Jose, Calif., as well. When that happens, EarthLink will operate a total of eight data centers throughout the country.
For now, EarthLink is heralding the opening of its 2323 Bryan Street data center in Dallas, as well as the launch of a new office so it can sell its cloud services, including hosting, managed services, backup and colocation, to area businesses.
"Dallas is a booming business market, and an important communications hub and distribution point for IP traffic," said Michael Toplisek, EarthLink’s executive vice president of sales and marketing.
