It’s good to be the CEO of AT&T Inc.
Randall Stephenson made 4 percent more money in 2012 than he did in 2010, according to calculations by The Associated Press from regulatory filings. In dollars, that translated into $21 million, compared to $20.2 million two years prior. Stephenson’s 2011 pay suffered a $2.1 million cut because of the failed $4.2 billion T-Mobile USA takeover, which he has called one of his “worst moments.”
But Stephenson’s loss didn’t last long. In 2012, he received a salary of $1.55 million, a bonus of $6.06 million and $12.6 million in shares, according to the AP and SEC documents. Stephenson received personal use of AT&T’s aircraft worth $276,391, and he got $101,923 in home security, along with $803,308 in other compensation.
