CHANNEL PARTNERS Business communications giant Windstream has named master agency Telarus (Booth 5031) its top partner of 2012. It’s the sixth straight year the distributor has claimed the title and it set a new sales record in the process.
Also notable is that it’s the first top partner award handed out by Windstream since the PAETEC and legacy Windstream indirect sales channels came together. Windstream’s indirect channel grew sales by more than 55 percent over 2011 setting a new record in the process.

As we continue to reinvest in our award-winning business data, voice, and cloud product lines, we anticipate continued success both with Telarus and our other valued channel partners in 2013.”
Telarus came to Windstream by virtue of the Nuvox acquisition in 2009, and holds a patent for GeoQuote, its real-time availability and quote tool that its partners use to sell transactional services for Windstream and their other suppliers. The software also provides a localized view of Windstreams fiber endpoints that are helpful in researching high-capacity broadband opportunities, the company said.
