Small and midmarket firms are expected to invest more than $250 billion in data-center technology between 2012 and 2016.
That’s according to a new report from Techaisle, which says, by region, Asia is expected to see the strongest growth, at 14 percent; North America is next at 7 percent. North American SMBs, however, are expected to spend the most, with the storage segment growing the fastest, at 11 percent.
Techaisle’s report breaks data-center technology into three categories storage, networking solutions and servers around the globe.
In an upcoming channel report, the firm found that more than one-third (35 percent) of VAR channels have started to address data-center solutions; in China, more than 40 percent of VAR channels are already offering data-center solutions.
AT&T, CenturyLink and Connectwise are among those adding drama to telecom, IT and the channel since last fall. https://t.co/YTBVQGjWqt
