for our most recent list of America’s hottest selling smartphones to see how Samsung stacked up against the competition.**
The next great smartphone from Samsung could be announced in a little more than a month and now we think we know more about the fourth-generation Galaxy S, aptly named the S IV.
Aimed at both the general consumer and the business user, the S IV is poised to deliver a remarkable 1.9 GHZ processor, with a 1920×1080 panel that is full HD, and running on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). The specs come from the Japanese blog RBMen, which got its hands on a benchmark featuring the Samsung SCH-I545, which industry watchers believe is the S IV.
Conventional wisdom is that the new phone will make its debut this spring; tech site SlashGear is saying there will be an event in the U.S. marking the unveiling of the handset on March 22, followed by a launch in April.
Samsung’s Galaxy S series has become more popular with every version that’s been released. While Apple’s iPhone remains the best seller globally, Samsung with its long line of Android handsets is far and away the leader in market share.
