SimpleSignal is using Polycom’s RealPresence platform as the foundation of its new SimpleMeetup Video so businesses can collaborate across multiple systems. SimpleMeetup Video works with video equipment and devices built on the TIP, SIP, SVC or H.323 protocols. That means SimpleMeetup Video accommodates gear from vendors including Lifesize, Tandberg, Cisco and more. And of course, it operates on Polycom hardware.
As a result of the partnership, SimpleSignal’s five channel managers and Michael Sterl, executive vice president, have earned the RealPresence Environment Certification. The designation means all six people are qualified to help channel partners and their customers with SimpleSignal Meetup Video and its Polycom interoperability.
SimpleMeetup Video features on-demand, anytime, HD video-as-a-service for two to 100 people. Service plans start at $199 per virtual meeting room; SimpleSignal said there are no per-minute or per-user charges and an on-premises MCU is not required. Users dial in to their own video conference bridges to start a meeting.
