Green Cloud Technologies, a cloud technology solutions provider headquartered in Greenville, S.C., has announced its expansion in Florida, with the opening of a new office in Tampa and the hiring of two new sales executives, both of whom come to the company from Windstream (formerly Nuvox Communications).
The new Tampa office, centrally located at 1228 E. 7th Ave., will market Green Clouds portfolio of cloud-based IT solutions to channel partners and small and medium-sized businesses in the northern panhandle, central and southern regions of Florida. The new office expands the Southeastern footprint of the company, which already had regional offices in Charleston and Greenville, S.C., and Nashville, Tenn.
Green Cloud, which recently raised $2.75 million for market expansion, offers managed IT and telecom services including Virtual Server, Virtual PBX and Disaster Recovery products.

To recruit new partners in the Florida region, Green Cloud has hired Stephen Rieck as regional vice president of sales. He will focus on sales of the companys cloud-based IT solutions and will be responsible for identifying, engaging and supporting dealer managers and sales partners in the region. Rieck’s more than 24 years of experience in the telecom industry include serving as vice president of the channel partner program at Windstream. before joining Green Cloud.
In addition, Green Cloud has added Greg Eckley as national channel manager. He will be based out of the Tampa office and will focus on sales of the company’s Virtual Server, Disaster Recovery and Virtual PBX solutions through recruiting and engaging sales partners. Eckley was senior district dealer manager with Windstream for more than 12 years prior to joining Green Cloud.
