EarthLink Seeks Partner Input on IT Services Go-To-Market Plan

EarthLink Business is convening a panel of its sales partners to help the service provider with its go-to-market plan for its IT Services portfolio.

Launched in early 2012, EarthLink Business’ IT Services include virtualization, managed security, connectivity, applications, managed desktop and data center services.

The new partner panel, which will meet via conference call for the first time Nov. 27, includes more than a dozen master agents, subagents and direct agents but is separate from the carrier’s partner advisory board.

Brainchild Sherri Turpin, EarthLink Business’ vice president of channel strategy, said the intent of the panel is to “shape our IT Services products to the channel needs and go to market with the approach that will enroll and create maximum mindshare and market share.”

During its inaugural meeting later this month, the partner panel will address positioning EarthLink’s IT Services portfolio, channel training and certification requirements, and channel pre- and post-sales support needs.

Turpin said the committee will meet throughout 2013 and will be asked to provide insight into partner expectations for EarthLink as a cloud supplier, feedback on competitive IT services and recommendations for how EarthLink should market IT Services to the channel and its customers.

The panelists also will be part of beta and/or pilot trials of certain products and/or channel enablement systems for IT Services, Turpin said.
