MicroCorp Taps NeoNova for Google Apps

MicroCorp Inc. announced Tuesday an agreement with NeoNova Network Services to sell cloud services, including Google Apps for Business, through its network of 1,500 subagents and VARs.

With the agreement, MicroCorp becomes NeoNova’s exclusive master agency on the East Coast, but will be able to work with agents across the country and sell services nationally.

In July 2012, NeoNova became a Premier SMB Reseller of the Google Apps for Business based on its expertise and success in helping customers deploy and use Google Apps, including Gmail, Google Calendar and integrated IM, as well as Google Docs and Google Sites, which include word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and website creation tools.

While Google Apps can be had for free, Google Apps for Business is not, but it can be had on the cheap at $5 per month, per user, or $50 per year, per user. That said, the price does not include migration or ongoing management support. As a Google Apps Reseller, NeoNova fills this role. NeoNova receives training, support and deployment tools from Google as well as access to new APIs for integrating Google Apps into customers’ business operations.

NeoNova, in turn, enables channel partners to offer a turnkey service to SMBs. Its offering includes a business domain (, administrative interface and conversion for all end-users; administrative and end-user training, integrated online training courses, a complete backup solution for all Google Apps data, as well 24/7 support and training by phone, email and chat for customers’ employees.

NeoNova charges customers a per-seat monthly fee for the apps and its managed services. MicroCorp agents receive a monthly recurring commission on closed deals.

MicroCorp President and CEO Brad Miehl said the deal with NeoNova was forged in response to requests for Google Apps support from the master agency’s advisory board. Companies are beginning to adopt the low-cost apps in greater numbers; Google said in 2011 at least 4 million businesses run on Google Apps. Miehl expects this number to continue to grow as Millennials that have been using free versions of Google Apps flood the workforce.

Miehl said MicroCorp also is looking to offer Google Apps competitor Microsoft Office 365 as early as mid-2013.
