MicroCorp Inc. will enable its partners to manage customer networks with TotalCare365, a new tool announced Monday at One-on-One, the master agency’s partner meeting in Atlanta.
The managed service is made possible through an exclusive agreement with Contingent, a global technology services company specializing in managed secure wide area networks, integration, logistics and maintenance for large enterprises.
“Don’t just sell the network, manage it,” said MicroCorp President and CEO Brad Miehl, challenging agents to step up their game.
MicroCorp long has offered a carrier services platform that marries process, people and vendor agreements. With its Nautilus proprietary back-office system, 35-member staff and 50-plus supplier contracts, Miehl said MicroCorp is a market leader, but conceded these are table stakes for a master agency.
“We need to go further. Our relevancy [as agents] is being challenged,” Miehl said.
TotalCare365, he argued, enables MicroCorp and, by extension, its agents, to remain relevant by taking ownership of, being proactive and removing pain from customer environments.
“It enables you to retain the customer that’s what we all want,” he said, noting it also helps agents move up market to larger customers.
TotalCare365 will be rolled out in phases, beginning first with managed WAN and LAN, then adding managed cloud.
The WAN management solution includes pre-installation services (network design and engineering, project management and circuit installation, and staging and deployment of network hardware) and post-installation services (proactive circuit and hardware monitoring, diagnostics and fault resolution, help desk, and inventory and life-cycle management).
The solution will be generally available to agents through Nautilus, MicroCorp’s cloud-based carrier management system, in first quarter 2013.
