ADTRAN Showcases 6 Upcoming IP Phones

ADTRAN Inc. on Monday introduced six new, Polycom-powered IP phones that enterprises can use in hosted or on-premises networks. The phones will be available through channel partners in December.

The phones offer a range of features, including USB ports, Bluetooth, xHTML microbrowser, as well as built-in IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) circuitry and a dual-port Ethernet switch. When combined with ADTRAN’s ActivReach technology, the phones work on legacy wiring, too.

Here are the different phones:

  • ADTRAN VVX 600: A desktop phone built for executives. It comes with touchscreen user interface, HD voice, and optional USB camera.
  • ADTRAN VVX 500: Another touchscreen desktop phone with color display and capacity for 24 simultaneous calls and 12 lines. Applications include Microsoft Exchange calendar, contact and meeting reminder integration. The VVX 500 supports video with an optional USB camera for video conferences and lets users upload personalized screensavers and digital photos.
  • ADTRAN IP 650: This phone supports 24 simultaneous calls over six lines. Each IP 650 can be equipped with up to three expansion modules, each with 14 additional lines.
  • ADTRAN IP 550: A phone for remote workers and other professionals, it supports 24 simultaneous calls over four lines, and web-based apps.
  • ADTRAN IP 335: This phone, for cubicle workers, uses HD voice to provide more clarity than standard phones, and has a 102×33 pixel GUI display with backlit screen.
  • ADTRAN IP 321: This phone was designed for common areas such as lobbies and break rooms. It can support eight simultaneous calls over two lines.
