Mitel Creates New Channel Development Post

Unified communications provider Mitel Networks Corp. has beefed up its North American channel and sales management team with the appointment of Jeff Nolan as vice president of channel development for North America.Mitel's Jeff Nolan

The company said the appointment reinforces its 3+1 strategic plan introduced in 2011, which included realigning its sales organization with a greater channel focus.

Nolan previously spent six years as head of Mitel sales in Canada. He moves into a newly created position as vice president of channel development where he is responsible for strategic channel management, ongoing development of new channel partnerships, recruitment strategies, and all operational aspects of channel program delivery in the region.

As head of Mitel sales in Canada, Nolan and his team established the company as the country’s No. 2 business communications vendor. Prior to that Nolan served as Mitel’s regional sales director for the northeastern United States.

Nolan’s previous position as vice president of Canadian Sales is being filled by Tom Lang, formerly  general manager, Bell Business Markets for Bell Canada in Ontario.
