The global revenue from cloud-based security services is predicted to grow 83 percent by 2016.
Fueled by North America and greenfield opportunities in developing markets, cloud-based security services are gaining momentum as demand for these services continues to increase, according to Infonetics Research.
Jeff Wilson, principal analyst for security at Infonetics, said that growth in the variety of devices, platforms and apps drives the demand for security services, even among economic hardships.
The research also indicates that the number of network security attacks has risen significantly this year.
