In an effort to shore up its cloud services business, global IT and communications giant NTT announced Tuesday that it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Centerstance, a provider of cloud-based business solutions.
Following the acquisition, Centerstance will remain a wholly owned subsidiary of NTT. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition follows NTT’s purchase of IT integration company Dimension Data in 2010, which is part of a series of investments geared to provide clients solutions spanning a variety of cloud service and delivery models. Its portfolio of cloud solutions leverage the company’s global IP backbone and network of more than 200 data centers.
Founded in 2001, Centerstance is a consulting company specializing in business transformation through process improvement and application of cloud technologies, such as Salesforce.com, QlikView, Financial Force, Intacct, Cast Iron, Google and Amazon. Centerstance is one of a few U.S. Salesforce.com Platinum Cloud Alliance Partners. The company is based in Portland, Ore., with offices in Los Angeles, Seattle and Phoenix. It has 90 employees.
