Masergy Communications Inc. on Wednesday launched its cloud communications service for enterprises.
The service provider’s Global Cloud Communications platform, available through channel partners, consists of hybrid voice technologies for migrating from legacy PBXs to cloud-based unified communications (UC). The idea is to allow organizations to make the most of their legacy voice infrastructure while injecting IP voice into business processes.
This approach leverages both SIP trunking and hosted unified communications, creating an easy, custom-built path for the enterprise to transition from legacy PBX technology to a fully hosted, cloud-based UC network,” said John Dumbleton, Masergys senior vice president of business development.
Agents and VARs sell the services, then Masergy’s provisioning team takes over on implementation and migration to hosted UC.
