IBM announced this week new programs that let channel partners resell SaaS applications.
For resellers, the best news might be this: They can earn margins of up to 30 percent on a customer’s subscription value; the previous figures were 10 to 15 percent, CRN reported.
“We’re sure [the new programs] are going to go down very well in the partner community, based on the feedback we’ve had,” Mark Register, vice president of software business partners and midmarket, IBM Software Group, told CRN on Wednesday.
The programs let partners resell IBM-hosted SaaS applications, or resellers may host the applications in their own data centers.
IBM this week held its Smarter Commerce Global Summit in Orlando.
