Amanda Jobbins, the executive who helped Cisco VARs orchestrate marketing campaigns, has resigned. She is returning to her native UK for family reasons, according to various reports.
Jobbins held her role as vice president of global partner marketing for about 13 months. She was instrumental in shaping the marketing aspects of "Partner Led," the strategy that relies on VARs, dealers and other partners, rather than direct salespeople, to identify and close sales.
Karen Walker, senior vice president of segment, services and partner marketing, will take over the global marketing team for now. She and Jobbins will work together over the next month.
