ANPI LLC and Zone Telecom LLC announced Tuesday that Kenneth Jenks has joined their executive team as company as vice president of enterprise product operations.
Jenks brings 32 years of telecommunications experience to the post. He spent the past five years as director of operations engineering for AireSpring Inc.
Jenks began his career as a telephone switchboard repairmen in the United States Marine Corps and has held progressive positions in operations, engineering and management throughout his career with companies such as Pacific Bell, Datanet, Intellinet, PAETEC and others. He has a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications engineering and applied computing from Rochester Institute of Technology and received his master’s degree in engineering management from California State University Northridge.
ANPI and Zone Telecom merged in spring 2011 and operate as wholesale and retail business units of ANZ Communications LLC, a newly formed holding company. Together they provide carrier services to ILECs, CLECs, IXCs and regional wireless carriers as well as IP communications directly to small and medium businesses. They are based in Springfield, Il., with a NOC located in Frisco, Texas, and administrative offices in Mount Pleasant, Utah, and Cherry Hill, N.J.. The company has switching facilities and a multi-ring SONET-based network spanning cities such as Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York City.
