AT&T Announces Improvements for Business Use on Personal Devices

AT&T on Wednesday announced enhancements to its “Toggle” capability that allows for the separation and encryption of business data on employees’ mobile devices.

The telecommunications giant said the newest version of AT&T Toggle can be used on smartphone or tablet devices running the major mobile operating systems.

AT&T said within the work mode, businesses and organizations now can organize and manage corporate applications, content and media with a customized branded content manager, AT&T ToggleHub.

Thanks to the AT&T Toggle workspace management platform, a company’s IT department can set such corporate policies as enabling/disabling applications and locking and wiping the workspace if an employee loses his or her device or leaves the company. 

“Today, we have more than 27,000 business customers who have adopted mobile applications,” said Chris Hill, VP, advanced mobility solutions, AT&T Business and Home Solutions, in a statement. “The enhancement we’ve made available on AT&T Toggle give businesses the tool they need to confidently allow employees to use their own smartphones and tablets for work.”
