Venyu, a data center and virtualization provider, has released its VenyuCloud virtualization platform through channel partners, including telecom agents.
Powered by VMware’s Vcloud technology, the platform lets VARs and agents launch cloud servers and virtual cloud data centers on demand. Partners don’t need to have their own infrastructure and Venyu engineers are available to help, around-the-clock, with provisioning. Venyu said it designed its interface with the layman in mind, so creating and managing cloud services is easy and intuitive. Dedicated partner managers also are on hand to offer sales help.
For IT consultancy Wittig Associates, all of those features and more are key.
“One of the main selling points was that I would be able to create different/separate environments for each of my customers, but still all under my account,” said Dean Wittig, president of Wittig Associates. “It allows me to granularly dole out management and admin privileges to individual customer sites, and it simplifies my billing to customers by keeping all of my costs separate and accountable by customer.”
Venyu lets partners join its program at a variety of levels. First, there’s referral, which requires no up-front investment and pays a one-time dividend for every new customer referred. Then, there’s the reseller level, best for solution providers, MSPs and consultants. Benefits include training, sales resources and branded marketing materials. Finally, there’s the strategic partner tier, targeted toward multiregion or national MSPs, IT and back-end infrastructure consultants. For this group, Venyu offers premium incentives and market development programs.
