Cloud UC provider SimpleSignal Inc. announced Wednesday the availability of a mobile video communications application that works across a variety of mobile, desktop and video-enabled devices via a Wi-Fi connection or a 3G/4G network.
The new service enables instant video phone calls without a bridge as well as multipoint video conferencing. It is available as part of SimpleSignal’s hosted UC service or standalone. It’s free with the purchase of a UC seat. On it’s own, the video services is $199 per month of unlimited use for five users.
It works on iOS and Android operating systems, so it’s accessible on IPhone, iPad and Android devices. In addition, it works with a variety of desktop and teleconferencing video equipment from manufacturers, such as Polycom, Tandberg, Cisco, InFocus, LifeSize and more.
The service is enabled by SimpleSignal with a video conferencing bridge leveraging Polycom and Broadsoft technology, according to SimpleSignal CEO Dave Gilbert.
Gilbert told Channel Partners the service is available for sale by SimpleSignal’s reseller partners, which are compensated under their existing agreements as a commission on ARPU.
