Cbeyond has partnered with two fiber service providers FiberLight and Zayo so it may reach new buildings and SMBs throughout the country.
The partnerships bring Cbeyond closer to reaching its goals of lighting 1,000 buildings by the end of 2013 and transitioning an additional 28 percent of access customers to Metro Ethernet by that same time; Cbeyond now provides 22 percent of its customers with Metro Ethernet via Ethernet-over-Copper.
The arrangements mean Cbeyond’s channel partners, who sell the company’s cloud and network services, will be able to target more customers in more regions.
"Our primary goal for 2012 is to deliver a secure cloud infrastructure, network and consultative sales approach to bring the real benefits of secure cloud computing to the most technically demanding [SMBs] nationwide," said Brent Cobb, chief customer officer for Cbeyond.
FiberLight operates in 29 markets; Zayo’s in 70.
"The big, one-stop-shop providers just can't keep up with this pace of change." goo.gl/fb/Ew3Lq2
