Digium has announced the general availability of its new family of IP phones, which the company says are the first that are specifically engineered to fully leverage the power of Asterisk, the open-source communications software, and Switchvox, Digiums Unified Communications system.
These new products change the phone market by bringing a set of features unparalleled in the IP-PBX world, said Robert Shubow, president of Ultracom-Intelesys. “The API and app engine will allow us to offer a truly tailored end-to-end solution for our customers.”
Both Asterisk and Switchvox have been updated to offer enhanced functionality and direct integration when used with the new Digium phones.
The D70, an executive-level HD phone, retails for $279. The D50, a mid-level HD phone, goes for $179. And the D40, the entry-level phone, carries a suggested retail price of $129.
