iAreaNet announced Tuesday the addition of a 6,000-foot redundant data center to support its suite of cloud-based office tools for small and medium businesses.
The new data center is located in Atlanta, which is nearly 900 miles away from iAreaNet’s primary data center in the New York state area. The geographic separation ensures continued operation in the event of regional outages due to maintenance, weather, system failures or disaster.
The facilities are certified SAS70 Type II Compliant, a third-party audited certification that assures strict adherence to quality control and data security processes. Security measures include 24/7 on-site personnel monitoring critical systems and automated monitoring of power, environmental and fire detection systems.
iAreaNet selected NSPI, a managed IT services provider and subsidiary of SARCOM, as the provider of its new data center resources. NSPI ranked ninth in the United States on the 2011 MSPmentor 100, a report identifying the world’s top managed service providers.
SARCOM offers infrastructure and system design, procurement, installation, post-sales support, services, help desk management and IT staffing. SARCOM’s NSPI division implements technology solutions and services nationwide with more than 30 branch locations. NSPI is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, IBM Advanced Business Partner and a Cisco Gold Partner.
