The Portland, Ore.-based telecommunications provider is deploying ADTRAN’s Total Access 5000 in order to deliver Ethernet services to nearly 300 central offices using Ethernet over TDM technology, ADTRAN announced Monday.
The deployment of the solution will ensure that nearly every business throughout Integra’s service territory, excluding Montana, will be able to obtain carrier-grade business Ethernet service regardless of their location to fiber or copper DSL, Huntsville, Ala.-based ADTRAN said.
Integras ability to extend a network-wide deployment for end-to-end Ethernet Services using MEF certified solutions brings a great deal of value to our customer base,” said Craig Heidgerken, vice president of engineering at Integra Telecom, in a statement. Our customers are looking for private, carrier-grade Ethernet access to all of their locations regardless of whether they reside in a downtown area, in the suburbs, or a more remote location.”
In other recent news, communication solutions provider Wecom Inc. has tapped Integra to deliver point-to-point communication solutions to rural business customers in the southwest U.S.
