As Lync, Microsofts unified communications (UC) platform, gains popularity, so does demand for endpoints that work with the software. To that end, telecom and IP distributor Novus said on Tuesday its VARs in North America now can sell Platntronics headsets optimized for Lync.
Novus offers Plantronics full line of corded and wireless headsets but is putting particular emphasis on those made for Lync.
Plantronics fills a void in the Novus portfolio by allowing us to offer customers and prospects proven USB, Bluetooth and corded headsets designed and manufactured by a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and optimized for Lync deployments,” said Chris Meehan, a Novus managing partner, in a press release.
Novus also sells snom and Aastra phones, which means the addition of Plantronics headsets makes the distributor a one-stop shop for Lync endpoints, Meehan said. The distributor didnt provide detail on margins.
