ACT Conferencing has made several improvements to its audio, Web and video conferencing platforms.
First, the company which sells through channel partners has added five countries to its list of local dial-in numbers. The countries are Brazil, Bahrain, China, Egypt and Serbia. The upgrade means people attending ACT conference calls from those countries will save money on access costs and experience higher call quality.
ACT also has rolled out a mobile conferencing app for BlackBerry users who want to connect to conferences, and schedule them, on the go. The app available in the BlackBerry App World supports ACT users in the United States and Canada.
Finally, the company has introduced virtual events packages that combine its ConferenceCast webcasting services with operator-assisted audio and video. For example, companies now can host webinars through ACT or use its Web presence, security and other features in traditional investor relations calls. Another bundle lets companies do large-scale product demonstrations and hold lead-generating marketing events. There also are bundles for internal communications such as employee training, testing and town hall meetings.
