VoIP provider GLOBALINX on Tuesday released its own mobile video app for Android devices.
The GLOBALINX Mobile Video (GMV) app is powered by iscoord, a softphone and UC client developer. The app lets GLOBALINX customers make video calls to other GLOBALINX VideoPhone users who subscribe to the GSP-10, CU-3000, CU-2000 or 8831 services. The GMV runs on Android devices featuring at least the 2.3.2 operating system; it will be available for iPhones, iPads and the iPod Touch, although GLOBALINX didnt provide a specific date.
At some point, too, GLOBALNIX will allow GMV to make and receive voice calls to GLOBALINX and non-GLOBALINX users. Other features available now include unlimited calling to the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Theres also voice mail, call forwarding and, when using GMV with the GSP-10 softphone, the ability to hold a four-way video conference on Android phones and tablets.
The GLOBALINX Mobile Video App costs $4.99 in the Android Marketplace and can be combined with either the $14.95 per month economy plan or the $24.95 per month unlimited plan.
