Novus, a telecommunications and IP distributor serving value added resellers throughout North America, on Monday expanded its portfolio of Microsoft Lync solutions through two new IP phones: the Aastra 6721ip and 6725ip.
The IP phones are designed specifically for use with Microsoft Lync. The new models feature the embedded Microsoft Lync 2010 Phone Edition client and offer integration with Microsoft Lync 2010.
Microsoft Lync is becoming an increasingly sought after and viable solution in the Enterprise space and this demand will become more prevalent with the launch of Office 365. Novus felt that this is the ideal time to increase our existing Lync product portfolio and is now offering Aastra IP phones optimized for Lync,” Novus Managing Partner Chris Meehan said. There are only two phone manufacturers that build IP phones optimized for Lync, one of which is Aastra.”
The Aastra 6721ip and 6725iph phones operate independently from a PC and include the following features: an intuitive interface clearly displayed on a full color 3.5-inch LCD screen; easy access to essential calling features through navigation keys; and wideband audio that enhances the clarity of calls.
Novus offers Aastra USA a very focused approach to resellers interested in the Aastra Lync voice solution,” said John Drolet, vice president of indirect distributors and carrier sales, Aastra USA. Their experience in this space, attention to customer service and strong technical expertise are real assets for Aastras go-to-market plan. We look forward to working with their team to engage existing and future Lync resellers on exceeding their expectations.”
