iPad 2 Users Report Problems Connecting to Verizon Network

Apple has confirmed some iPad users have having problems connecting to Verizons network, according to one report.

We are aware that a small number of iPad 2 customers have experienced connectivity issues with the Verizon 3G network and we are investigating it,” Apple told Mobilized in a statement.

Some iPad 2 users have discussed problems on an Apple forum entitled, iPad 2 WiFi + 3G Verizon Cellular Data Issue.”

There is an inability to switch between WiFi and Verizon 3G modes,” one person wrote. Once the 3G is turned off I need to reboot with the cellular switched ON in order to reestablish a connection.”

Another individual reported a similar issue.

If I have wifi ON and then want to switch to 3G, then I can never connect and I only get the IPAD icon on the upper land hand corner. I have to reboot the Ipad with 3G on in order to connect.  If I stay with just 3G, then I can turn it on and off without any problems. I really hope Apple comes up with a fix soon.”

Apples iPad went on sale last month in three models. One model includes the option to connect to Verizons network.
