Technology integrator and Avaya business partner Carousel Industries Inc. on Tuesday announced completing its acquisition of OmniPresence, Inc., an integrator of AV and video conferencing services.
Carousel previously said OmniPresence would form the core of its Visual Communciations and Colloboration Group. Marlborough, Mass.-based OmniPresence has a customer base of roughly 2,500 end-users.
The OmniPresence purchase is Carousels third acquisition this year.
Exeter, R.I.-based Carousel previously acquired Westwood, Mass.-based TAC Centre and Farmingdale, N.Y.-based Juma Technology.
Carousel has acquired a number of Avaya business partners over the last few years, company executives told Channel Partners in an interview earlier this year.
James Marsh, Carousel’s Senior Vice President, said the company’s initial strategy was to become a larger partner of Avaya, the global provider of communications systems.
But the company is branching out into other areas and is examining potential acquisitions of companies that provide data center virtualization, storage and security services, he said.
"The big, one-stop-shop providers just can't keep up with this pace of change." goo.gl/fb/Ew3Lq2
