PAETEC Makes Ethernet Services Available for Sale Through Agents

PAETEC channel partners now can sell Ethernet services thanks to the recent Intelliber purchase.

PAETEC bought Intellifiber last December as part of the $460 million Cavalier acquisition. Now, the benefits of the deal have trickled down to agents. PAETEC said on Monday new capabilities now available to the channel include Ethernet (3mbps to 10G); wavelengths (1G to 10G); SONET (DS1 to OC192); Ethernet over Copper (EoC); low latency routes; and custom network builds. All products are available for both metro and long-haul applications.

“These services have had incredible growth internally at Intellifiber, and I’m confident by extending our expertise that our channel partners will immediately find ways to increase revenue and lower churn,” said Clint Heiden, president of fiber services at PAETEC.

PAETEC will provide agent training as needed.

The company further plans to add another 160 central offices to double its end-user coverage and support the bandwidth it expects customers to consume.
