Smartphone junkies who are excited about buying a ThunderBolt by HTC dont have to worry about paying Verizon Wireless overage fees for data services.
Verizon Wireless announced this week that it is offering an unlimited 4G LTE data plan.
The ThunderBolt went on sale today at Verizon Wireless stores and online and is being sold for $249.99 with a new two-year customer contract.
Verizon Wireless said ThunderBolt customers will have to purchase a Nationwide Talk Plan, which begins at $39.99 per month, and a unlimited 4G LTE data plan. The unlimited data plan starts at $29.99 per month. But the pricing plans for data services on Verizon Wireless smartphones may change later this year.
Verizon CFO Fran Shammo told investors on March 1 that Verizon Wireless would offer tiered pricing probably by mid summer, and although Shammo said the company would keep in tact the $29.99 unlimited data option for the iPhone 4 and other 3G smartphones for the time being, he noted that was never a long-term strategy.”
