WTG Promotes 6 Team Members

World Telecom Group (Booth #1411 at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo), a Malibu, Calif.-based master agency, has announced a number of team promotions.

First, Haini Whittington has been promoted to vice president of operations. She oversees pre- and post-sales and develops strategic projects with CEO Vince Bradley, and WTG providers and partners. Whittington started her career in 1998 with IBM. She holds an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Next, Shawn McKendry has re-joined WTG as director of partner finance. He had been working with the companys PartnerSupport group. McKendry is responsible for WTGs commissions team; hell implement a new system that will automate and manage WTGs compensation infrastructure. He reports to CFO/CIO Jeremy Hopkins.

Third, Salwa Scarpone has been promoted to director of marketing. She continues to oversee WTGs marketing team, event planning and public relations. Before coming to WTG, Scarpone served as manager of media relations and communications for the Disney-ABC Television Group. Prior to that, she developed strategic marketing plans and promotions in the music industry for several artists, management and record companies.

Meantime, Kelly Wood has been moved into the role of service delivery manager. She had been working as sales support specialist. Wood handles orders and customer service and manages WTGs sales support functions. She reports to Whittington. Wood has worked for companies including Ancero and MCI.

Finally, Justin Grunewald steps up from partner support representative to partner support manager, and Rob Camargo transitions from partner support representative to partner development manager. Grunewald will focus on complex solution management while Camargo will supervise agent partner recruiting, orientation and development.
