Getting a free month of data for your iPad on AT&Ts wireless network is as easy as placing a phone call or stopping by one of the carriers retail outlets.
AT&T customers are getting an e-mail this week touting the offer. And its not just for those buying an iPad or a brand-new iPad 2 for the first time. The 2GB monthly data plan, which would ordinarily set you back $25, is good for any iPad customer, new or old, according to TUAW. You just have to cancel the service within 30 days to avoid being charged for the next month of data.
Either drop by an AT&T store or call (888) 237-5888 to take advantage of the offer. You wont be able to get the deal simply by activating your iPad from the device.
When the original iPad debuted in April 2010, AT&T was the exclusive carrier, but Apple allowed Verizon Wireless to start selling the device later in the year. Verizon customers need an additional device to access the Internet via the carriers network since the iPad isnt compatible with it.
