Concord Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told the website that manufacturers will begin production of the GSM-based iPhone 4 version in white enclosures and start sending them to Apple ahead of general availability scheduled for next month.
This would be the first time the front bezel as opposed to the back cover would be available in white for the iPhone. The white version also would feature white front and rear glass plates on the iPhone 4, according to GottaBeMobile.com.
The white iPhone has faced a number of delays due to technical issues in development. It was first expected to be available almost a year ago.
When the iPad 2 is available in stores tomorrow, Apple will offer it in both black and white versions.
