Verizon Wireless said it will offer three iPad 2 models on its 3G network: $629.99 for the 16 GB model; $729.99 for the 32 GB model and $829.99 for the 64 GB model.
The Basking Ridge, N.J.-based operators data options will start at $20 per month for 1 GB per month. Customers also can get 3 GB per month for $35 per month, 5 GB for $50 and 10 GB for $80. All plans are available without a contract.
Dallas-based AT&T said iPad 2 customers can choose between prepaid billing options using a credit card or its recently announced postpaid plans that can be added to a customers monthly wireless bills. Both prepaid and postpaid plans are month to month and do not require a long-term commitment.
AT&T is selling capacity of 250 MB for $14.99 or 2 GB for $25.00 on the iPad 2 an Apple tablet that is 33 percent thinner and up to 15 percent lighter than the original iPad but still features the same 9.7-inch LED-backlit LCD screen.
AT&T customers who bundle the iPad 2 on their wireless bill and exceed their monthly data allotments will be billed $14.99 for another 250 MB on the $14.99 plan or $10 per 1 GB of overage on the 2 GB plan.
Customers who activate a new postpaid $25/2 GB plan will receive the first month free, AT&T said.
