Verizon Wireless appears to be gearing up to release some highly anticipated smartphones, including HTCs first Android-based CDMA world phone.
The HTC Merge recently appeared in Verizon Wireless inventory, Phandroid reported, although thats not a huge surprise considering the smartphone has been spotted on the operators website in the past.
Verizon Wireless also may be getting ready to introduce the Samsung Stealth V, a 4G LTE phone. Tech site Wireless Goodness reported that a listing on this FCC website suggests the smartphone is getting prepped for release, indicating that the device may hit the market earlier than the expected summer launch date.
HTC revealed Feb. 25 that several operators in North American will sell the HTC Merge beginning in the spring. The device features a QWERTY slideout-keyboard, 3.8-inch touchscreen display and 5-megapixel camera.
