Unified communications vendor Mitel Networks Corp. has taken the wraps off its new Technical Accreditation Program, or TAP, for its authorized partners.
Whats unique about TAP is that it doesnt just focus on Mitels Freedom architecture. Instead, the company has made sure to include multiple suppliers in its certification; those companies include VMware, Research In Motion, Extreme, Juniper Networks, HP and Aruba Networks. There also are four areas in which partners can specialize: virtualized voice, mobility, contact centers and unified communications.
“Today’s customers are looking for channel partners that understand how technologies can be leveraged to best support their organization’s business objectives,” said Bob Anderson, Mitel’s vice president of U.S. channel marketing. So, he said, Mitel designed TAP to help partners differentiate themselves as experts in the market in terms of delivering business value from technology, solution implementation, and post-sales support.”
To that point, Tim Maio, president of Firstline Communications, a VAR in the Pacific Northwest, said his customers look for partners with proof points that we have the right skills to help them. Mitels TAP gives us that validation.”
Mitels partner certification program is optional and available in just the United States.
