Taiwanese-based Handset maker HTC will introduce two mobile phones next month that will feature Facebook branding. That is according to London newspaper City A.M.
The paper reported Wednesday that HTC will make the announcement at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The event starts February 14.
The smartphones will be the first to feature Facebook branding and colors and will display users Facebook messages and news feed on the home screen, City A.M. reported. The newspaper also said the phones will run on a version of Googles operating system.
The paper did not say what mobile operator or operators will carry the devices.
But City A.M. reported that the smartphones are expected to allow subscribers to call or e-mail friends from information stored on their Facebook page.
Rumors over the introduction of a Facebook mobile phone have been circulating for some time.
