Managed communications provider Appia Communications, Traverse City, Mich., and on-demand computing vendor Virtual-Q, Houston, announced Wednesday the availability of RightOffice, a cloud-based solution that combines Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 with business-class VoIP.
RightOffice includes two main components: RightVoice and RightComputing.
RightVoice is an advanced phone system including unified messaging, fax-to-email, and find-me follow-me. It also supports local, toll-free, domestic and international long-distance, directory assistance and 911 services. If customers have multiple locations, interoffice calls are free of charge. RightOffice voice services can either work with a customer’s existing office phone system or replace that system with an advanced hosted IP PBX.
RightComputing delivers a hosted desktop with as many CPUs and as much memory as customer applications require. It includes Windows 7, the latest version of Microsoft Office, support for existing customer Windows or Linux applications, daily data backups, and integration with existing peripherals such as printers and scanners. Users can access their desktops and applications using almost any platform, including laptops, desktops, iPads, or smartphones.
The service is sold on a monthly subscription base on the number of users.
