Its looking more and more like the tablet computer wars will officially kick off next month when the highly anticipated Motorola Xoom makes its debut.
The news comes from an Engadget tipster who sent the tech site a screenshot from Best Buy that shows the big-box retailer will start selling the tablet on Feb. 17.
No price has yet been confirmed, but previous reports have indicated that the Xoom will set you back somewhere between $699 and $799. A note on the leaked Best Buy screenshot indicates it will come with 32GB of storage, as expected. Other anticipated specs include:
Earlier this month, Verizon Wireless announced that it would be the first carrier to offer the Xoom on its network. No confirmation yet from Big Red on the Feb. 17 release date.
While the Samsung Tab has been available since last fall, many expect the Xoom might be a bigger challenger to the Apple iPad. It was one of the most-watched announcements at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. Research In Motion is expected to get into the tablet game this spring when it releases the BlackBerry PlayBook, around the same time we expect to see the second-generation iPad.
Security and UCaaS and SD-WAN, the triple-headed monster, dominated the news last week. https://t.co/Yoq7yrjhkf
