ACT Conferencing has a new president.
This week, Mark Kelly was promoted from COO to head of the Colorado-based conferencing and collaboration provider. Kelly has worked for ACT, which has solds through a variety of agents and resellers since 1998. His responsibilities have included product development, telecom infrastructure and back-office oversight. He now takes on the rollout of ACTs unified communications platform, which the company expects to make available worldwide over the next three months.
The way organizations communicate and conduct business is vastly different from even five years ago; the global marketplace is much more open than ever before,” Kelly said in a prepared statement. ACT continues to help its customers around the world navigate and implement the most advanced conferencing services appropriate to each organizations style of operation.”
Except for finance, all of ACTs departments now report to Kelly.
Before coming to ACT, Kelly served as co-founder and vice president of engineering for Advance Multi-Point Conference, a teleconferencing service provider that ACT acquired. Before that, Kelly worked for Nortel Networks audio conferencing division.
In addition to the United States, ACT has locations in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore and the U.K.
