The expanded partnership comes as ShoreTel has turned its Champion Partner Program into two tiers. The change gives resellers the option of working with distributors such as ScanSource, ShoreTel said.
The deal further provides evidence of end users desire for features such as multimedia collaboration and integrated customer relationship management systems think Salesforce.com. On top of that, mobile workers can use the ShoreTel technology as if they were at their desks.
ScanSource said adding the ShoreTel phones with built-in UC underscores the companys goal of helping resellers increase revenue.
