MegaPath Inc.s channel program now is being run by Chris Gellos.
Gellos, senior vice president of sales for MegaPath, succeeds Dan Foster, who told colleagues last week that he has taken another job in the clean energy sector. On Monday, Gellos told Channel Partners that Fosters departure which was a surprise to a lot of folks” means a change in leadership but not a change in strategic direction.”
Thats because Gellos worked with Foster to combine the Speakeasy and MegaPath channel programs when the two providers merged last year. Gellos is deeply familiar with MegaPaths channel players, the products and the companys strategy. Hes now picking up where Foster left off, continuing to blend the Speakeasy, MegaPath and Covad programs.
Weve set out to build the first managed services local exchange carrier and were well underway in that mission,” Gellos said.
MegaPath will expound on the opportunities available to agents at the upcoming Channel Partners Conference & Expo, Gellos said.
This week, MegaPath will formally announce Gellos appointment as Fosters replacement, although the service provider already informed individual members of its advisory council.
Gellos has worked in telecom and the channel for more than 20 years, for companies including AT&T, Qwest, Electric Lightwave, Citizens Communications and Line One.
