Qwest Communications International Inc. launched a new low-latency Ethernet private line solution, Qwest iQ E-Line service, that will be available for sale through participants in the Qwest Business Partner Program.
QBPP is holding its annual partner meeting, Q.Marketplace, this week in Denver, where Qwest is headquartered.
Qwest iQ E-Line is a fully managed service that offers granular bandwidth in increments from 5mbps up to 1gbps. It also uses the carriers MPLS network technologies for intelligent routing and DWDM technologies for bandwidth utilization. When combined with multiplexing, the solution allows for hub-and-spoke multisite connections within or between any of E-Lines 16 markets currently for long-haul and metro applications. These include Atlanta; Boston; Chicago; Dallas; Denver; Houston; Indianapolis; Kansas City, Mo.; Los Angeles; New York; Newark, N.J.; Philadelphia; Phoenix; Sunnyvale, Calif.; Tampa, Fla.; and Washington, D.C.
Qwest iQ E-Line is designed for data-intensive applications that require scalable connections to customers data centers, storage-area networking, multilocation enterprise applications or disaster recovery and business continuity facilities.
With the launch of Qwest iQ E-Line, Qwest has provided a way for customers to migrate to higher bandwidth speeds in a gradual and cost-effective manner by leveraging the inherent granularity of Ethernet technology,” Melanie Posey, vice president of Hosting and Managed Network Services, IDC Research.
The solution is MEF, IEEE and ITU standards compliant and backed by service level agreements.
The honoree has been a @Telarus partner since 2011. dlvr.it/RNTcY2
