In what appears to be a first-ever event, two master agencies have tied to win the title of industrys best.
This week, the Telecom Association announced that Telarus and World Telecom Group (WTG) each received an equal number of votes in the fifth-annual Members Choice awards, even after a recount of more than 800 ballots.
I personally interviewed scores of TA members when doing the recount, and the praise for both WTG and Telarus could not have been higher,” said Dan Baldwin, TAs executive director. While some view WTG and Telarus as very different kinds of master agencies, the agent praise heaped on bothhad a similar ring, citing great back-office support, online quoting solutions and an agent first attitude.”
Baldwin said the Best Master Agency” category is the associations most competitive.
For his part, Adam Edwards, president of Telarus, said his companys win the third in a row is thanks to our strong focus on technology and sales support on large deals.”
We have invested significant resources, time and money in helping agents win large deals, and ensuring that the provisioning process goes smoothly,” he added. 2011 will be no exception, brining innovations never seen before in the channel.”
Vince Bradley, president and CEO of WTG, said being nominated for Best Master Agency alone was an honor.
But to chosen by ones own peers and TAs members as No. 1 inthree categories makes me proud of all the hard work that our team does here at WTG,” he said. Be on the look out for great stuff headed your way from WTG in 2011!”
Other big winners in the 2010 Members Choice Awards included AireSpring, Granite Telecom, MegaPath and TouchTone. Each of the companies landed a place in six or more categories. The full list of winners is at www.TAvote.com.
TAs voting members are tech-industry consultants and channel sales partners. Baldwin said TA examines voting members business websites, LinkedIn pages and sometimes interviews them before allowing individuals to qualify as voting members.
Security and UCaaS and SD-WAN, the triple-headed monster, dominated the news last week. https://t.co/Yoq7yrjhkf
