Transwestern has chosen XO Communications to provide a wide-area networking solution connecting more than two dozen locations across the United States.
Transwestern is one of the largest privately held commercial real-estate organizations in the U.S. The company provides fully integrated services through six distinct business lines in 26 major markets around the country for a broad range of property types, including office, industrial, retail, health care and multifamily. Transwestern oversees leasing and management for more than 256 million square feet of space. In 2009, the firm completed leasing, sales and finance transactions totaling $3.3 billion.
XO will deploy a fully managed, private wide-area networking solution connecting Transwesterns private cloud to 26 commercial locations across the country in 11 states.
XO says its MPLS IP-VPN solution will provide Transwestern with a secure, private IP network with Class of Service capabilities to support optimal performance for Internet access, critical business applications, video conferencing, VoIP and e-mail, while driving a more efficient communications infrastructure across the company. XO is also providing high-speed dedicated Internet access and voice services to Transwestern.
